THE BIBLE: THE COMPLETE WORD OF GOD (ABRIDGED)
Written by Adam Long, Reed Martin, Austin Tichenor

November 10-11, 17-18 at 8PM
November 12 & 19 at 2PM

Directed by Zachery Brown

An affectionate, irreverent roller-coaster ride from fig leaves to Final Judgment, tackling the great theological questions: Did Adam and Eve have navels? Did Moses really look like Charlton Heston? And why isn’t the word “phonetic” spelled the way it sounds? Whether you’re Catholic or Atheist, Muslim or Jew, Protestant or Purple People Eater, you will be tickled by this romp through old-time religion.

ONE SLIGHT HITCH
Written by Lewis Black

February 16-17, 23-24 at 8PM
February 18 & 25 at 2PM

Directed by R. Geoffrey Werbin

If you think of Lewis Black solely as a curmudgeonly comedian whose default setting is a state of apoplexy at the imbecility of his fellow man, you might be surprised by ONE SLIGHT HITCH. It's Courtney's wedding day, and her mom, Delia, is making sure that everything is perfect. The groom is perfect, the dress is perfect, and the decorations (assuming they arrive) will be perfect. Then, like in any good farce, the doorbell rings. And all hell breaks loose. So much for perfect.

Directed by Heidi Schiller

This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum know as 'the relationship.' Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. This hilarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, 'Say, what are you doing Saturday night?'

VANITIES
Written by Jack Heifner

September 22-23, 29-30 at 8PM
September 24 & October 1 at 2PM

Directed by Pat Ganz

A bittersweet comedy that is an astute, snapshot sharp chronicle of the lives of three Texas girls. In 1963, Joanne, Kathy, and Mary are aggressively vivacious cheerleaders. Five years later in their college sorority house, they are confronting their futures with nervous jauntiness. In 1974, they reunite briefly in New York. Their lives have diverged their friendship, which once thrived on assumptions as well-coordinated as sweater sets, is strained and ambiguous. Old time banter rings false. Their attempts at honest conversation only show they can no longer afford to have very much in common.

THE BOYS NEXT DOOR
By Tom Griffen

February 17-18, 24-25 at 8PM

Directed by Kevin Noll

The place is a communal residence in a New England city where four mentally handicapped men live under the supervision of an earnest, but increasingly “burned out,” young social Yorker named Jack. Norman works in a doughnut shop and is unable to resist the lure of the sweet pastries; Lucien P. Smith has the mind of a five-year-old but imagines that he is able to be more; Arnold, the ringleader of the group, is a hyperactive, compulsive chatterer; while Barry, a brilliant schizophrenic who is devastated by the unfeeling rejection of his brutal father, fantasizes that he is a golf pro.

Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents have retired and moved to Florida. That doesn’t mean his family isn’t still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he’s been offered a dream job. The job he’s been waiting for —marketing executive — would take him away from his beloved but annoying, grandparents. He tells them. The news doesn’t sit well.

At the time of a paralyzing drought in the West we discover a girl whose father and two brothers are worried as much about her potential future as an old maid as they are about thei dying cattle. Nor is there any sign of relief from the dry heat, when suddenly from out of nowhere appears a sweet-talking man with quite the sales pitch, claiming to be a “rainmaker.”

A Musical by Dan Goggin
Directed by Heidi Schiller
Music Direction by Darin Newcomer

When the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia (Child of God), has accidentally poisoned 52 of their sisters, they find themselves in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show, so they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production of “Grease.” Meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; Sister Robert Anne, a street-wise nun from Brooklyn; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.

One of the funniest plays ever written, this extraordinarily inventive, side-splitting comedy centers on the hilarious dilemma of a young architect who is visited by a man he’s never met but who saved his life in Vietnam. The visitor turning out to be an incredibly inept, hopelessly backward “nerd” who outstays his welcome with a vengeance. “…the audience almost never stops laughing— handkerchiefs wiping away tears of merriment…” —Variety

A Thriller by Lucille Fletcher
Directed by Kevin Noll

From the playwright of “Sorry, Wrong Number,” this ingeniously devised thriller builds steadily in menace and suspense until the final, breath-stopping moment of its unexpected, “twist” ending. Did Elaine Wheeler really see a dead man sitting in a chair in the empty tenement across from her penthouse apartment, or is she, as her husband John apparently believes, simply going mad?
