Fairfield Footlighters is pleased to announce their 2018-19 Season starting with LATER LIFE by acclaimed playwright A.R.Gurney. An old girlfriend offers some spark to Austin’s life, as the unpredictable Ruth loosens him, comically, and sometimes painfully, from the grip of years of depression and lifelessness. The bittersweet comedy about second chances opens September 21. In November, the group tackles the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning drama PROOF by David Auburn. The play concerns Catherine, the daughter of a recently deceased mathematical genius, and her struggle with his mathematical proof and mental illness. The winter blues gets blown away in February with the laugh-a-minute comedy THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY by Jessie Joes, Nicholas Hope, and Jaime Wooten. Four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate—and an impromptu happy hour! To close out the season in May, we take a look back to the swinging 60s with BOEING BOEING, a farce written by the French playwright Marc Carnoletti. Bernard’s jet-set life gets bumpy when the new Boeing jet means his three girlfriend-stewardesses all end up at his Paris flat on the same day.

Fairfield Footlighters is proud to be a former Grant Recipient of the Fairfield Community Foundation.
